Most of you guys are probably asking themselves where is the difference between all these eyebrow techniques. Lucky you, I will clear out all these questions and you will finally get to know the Pro and Cons between every single technique and you’ll be able to choose the right one for you.
Lets start with Microblading, probably everybody heard about Microblading and you see literally every nail and cosmetic salon offering Microblading. I guess you also already saw someone with really bad Microblading. Thats the point! Microblading started in Asia and came all the way to the United States and Europe back in 2014. Since Microblading became such a trend, everybody started offering it, which made it such a big deal to find a really good artist. Microblading is usually a technique which you have a hand held tool and a small fine needle where you can create very fine lines in the skin which makes the bladed hair so realistic. Some people are not able to create a flawless Microblading thats why many people walk around with bad Microblading. You should NEVER go to an artist just because their cheap, cheap price means always cheap work. PERIOD.
A great Microblading looks so realistic like hairs that you can’t even tell which hair is pigmented and which hair is real. My personal preference is the PhiBrows technique, they have different stroke patterns for every type of eyebrows.
These pictures below are good examples what can happen if you go to someone because their cheaper.
Microblading is ideal for really dry skin with very fine pores. If you tend to combination or oily skin you probably wont be happy with the result, because the fine strokes will blur out and the strokes will fade and look like a ugly shading. If you still want to get the Microblading done, please be aware that it’ll look good in the beginning but after its healed you’ll see the strokes getting thicker that they usually should. A touch up wont make it better.
Now you can see some better examples of a great Microblading with fine strokes of my clients.
Now lets move on to the Ombre Powder Brows, which started around 2017. This technique became very famous in the United States. The Ombre Powder Brows look great on every skin type because its a completely shading in a ombre style. The tail is darker and blends toward the fronts. Every artist has a different technique how they achieve a ombre powder brow style so don’t be confused that the style never looks the same. Also every artist gives this style a different name, like Ombre Powder Brows, Ombre Brows, Powder Brows, Vegas Brows, Hybrid Brows… But its all the “same” except that everybody has their own style.
I like to use the name Ombre Powder Brows or Ombre Brows because its just that, a powdered brow with a ombre. Because this technique is done with a machine where you create soft pixels which looks like a powder when its healed, thats why the Ombre Brows look so natural when they’re healed.
If you tend to fill out your Brows a lot or you like the make up look, you better go with the Ombre Powder Brows instead of Microblading because you’ll always feel the need to fill out between the strokes. Even if you don’t like make up at all the Ombre Brows can also build up very soft that you won’t even think you got your brows done.
When it comes to the lasting the Ombre Powder Brows lasts longer than microblading, not because they’re deeper, its because of the shading. When the brows starts healing the pigment will fade with time but it’ll still look good just lighter. But when the microblading starts fading you’ll lose the strokes and than it’ll look like little gaps.
These pictures below will show you good examples of a natural looking ombre powder Brow.
YOU STILL DON’T KNOW WHICH TECHNIQUE YOU WANT TO GO FOR?
If you’re still not sure which technique you should go for, there is a technique called Microshading, which is a in between technique. The Microshading is a Microblading with a Shading. You get the fine crisp natural looking strokes plus the shading between the strokes to get a fuller and still natural look. The Microshading is the perfect combination and looks healed just great. The Microshading is still not that intense like the Ombre Powder Brows but more intense than the Microblading.
The Pictures below are really good examples from my clients which got the Microshading.
